Cake & Bingsoo Cafe: A Delightful Korean Dessert Experience in New Malden

Went there for a late dessert on a Saturday evening with my wife and friends. There was a big queue when we got there, but our friends said their desserts are very good, so we decided it's worth waiting. After we browsed around the cafe, we realised they had an offer going - 50% off the croissant waffle, so my wife gave it a try. She got the matcha one, but she could hardly taste the matcha. As I had never tried the bingsoo - which is basically flakes of frozen milk with a sweet topping, thought I'd give the Oreo one a try. And I'm glad I did. It was very good. It had Oreo crumbs on top and the dessert was layered with ice cream. A very good introduction into South Korean desserts and friendly service

Beautiful cafe with quick service. Wait times were a little long but the desserts made it worth it. Really fun and large photo booth too with fun accessories.

Tasty Bingsoo! It's a shame that the rice cakes flavour is sold out (around 7pm), I will definitely return to try that The original flavour is also highly recommended.

Excellent Korean cafe. First time trying bingsoo and it was delicious. Huge portion so would recommend sharing unless you're starving.

I like the atmosphere here, you order at the counter and get your buzzer first, then pick your own seat. There were some people studying there so I felt completely comfortable eating bingsoo by myself. This is my first time having bingsoo, it is nothing like a slushy, the ice is so finely shaved and similar to snowflakes texture, just melts in your mouth and you could barely feel it. As a matcha lover the matcha bingsoo I had satisfied my dessert craving, strong flavour of matcha from the ice cream and topping, plenty of red beans (some on top and some at the bottom) created a perfect blend, the milky syrup was a great addition because I could pour it in bit by bit as I devour the dessert and even out the bitterness from matcha. This is my new favourite dessert. The portion is quite generous, came in a normal size bowl, having had lunch beforehand I was stuffed after eating it all by myself. There’s definitely enough to share as a two if you have a small appetite.

Best sponge cake I ever had. My husband and I went the first time and loved the spongy cakes and its cream, which has delicious flavour and not too very sweet. Just brilliant to our liking. Also, please try the pistachio crepe , they were something from different planet. We loved it so much that we went another day to try different flavours and took it away .

Very cute place and very nice and polite staff. We loved them! They even helped us organising a very little birthday party for our friend which was last minute. Couldn’t feel more welcome than this! Also, the photo booth was like a cherry on the top of all of it!!

The place serves interest variety of desserts. We tried the Mango Bingsoo. It's basically shredded fine ice with mango and condensed milk in a medium size bowl . Good serving for 2- 3 people. The price was 9.20. The outlets on weekends are so busy. Enjoy.
